I’m Sam, an experienced design leader of 20+ years.
I believe design can have a big impact not only on the user’s experience but also on business outcomes.
I see design leadership as the discipline of creating clarity at scale — aligning user needs, business goals, and organizational execution into a shared direction.
My role is to elevate design from a function into a strategic force that shapes the customer experience, how products evolve, how teams make decisions, and how the business delivers meaningful, lasting impact.

I’ve led everything from 0 to 1 initiatives, through growth, maturity, sunset, and in between.
My experience spans various types of organizations, stages of business, and stages of design maturation, which gives me a great foundation to successfully tackle all manner of user, business, and organizational challenges.

Outside of work
I live in Dublin, California. I have three cute rescue pups: Harper, Jax, and Finnegan. And I love to read and hang out with my family.
